The Early Childhood Programs at The Cape Ann Waldorf School show the greatest respect for this magical stage of a child’s life. We provide a warm, calm, secure and aesthetic environment in which the imagination and creativity of the child flourish. These programs emphasize imaginative play, language development, artistic development, social skills, singing, storytelling, and movement. Consistent with the overall Waldorf philosophy, this approach allows children to grow up in a developmentally appropriate manner.


	The Early Childhood programs serve families with children from infancy through kindergarten age. Each level of the program is designed to meet the children at their various developmental stages. These programs provide an interim step between the young child’s experience at home and formal schooling.
