About Us
The Cape Ann Waldorf School is one of over a
hundred schools teaching the Waldorf method in the United States
today. Our school serves over 200 children enrolled in Grades
1-8, as well as parent/child classes, nursery, and
kindergarten.
Situated in Beverly Farms, Massachusetts, on Boston's
North Shore, the school currently serves students coming from the
following communities:
Beverly, Boxford, Byfield, Danvers, Georgetown, Gloucester,
Hamilton, Haverhill, Ipswich, Lynn, Magnolia, Manchester-by-the-Sea,
Marblehead, Newburyport, Rockport, Rowley, Salem, Swampscott,
Topsfield, Wakefield, Wenham
Waldorf schools offer a unified and holistic approach
to education aimed at producing creative, secure, free-thinking
individuals who can one day take a responsible place in adult
society. The Waldorf curriculum corresponds to the natural
stages of a child's development so that form and content parallel
the child's own growth.
A Waldorf education integrates all the standard
academic subjects with a broad background in science and humanities
and a consideration of moral principles as well as physical
skills.
Mission
The mission of the Cape Ann Waldorf School
is to provide the foundation upon which children become aware,
well-rounded, healthy adults capable of facing the challenges of
tomorrow, and to offer Waldorf education in a non-elitist,
non-discriminatory manner to all children whose parents desire
it.
