A pianist is needed for the eurythmy classes at the Cape Ann Waldorf School at Moraine Farm in Beverly, MA.

Specific to Waldorf education worldwide, eurythmy is a movement curriculum that supports stages of development. The movement is a accompanied with poetry and music.

We are looking for a pianist who would be open to this unique subject and willing to share his/her gift of music on Fridays from 10:35 AM to 12:10 PM, and 12:55 PM to 1:40 PM. This includes three 45-minute lessons; $25 per lesson.

The repertoire includes some pieces written specifically for the eurythmy classroom, but also many works from classical literature. Pieces might include Bach preludes and other short works, Mozart sonatinas and dances, some of the easier Chopin preludes, Schumann "Scenes from Childhood", and other pieces of comparable difficulty. Excellent sight-reading skills are a plus, as is the ability to do some light improvising to accompany stories.
